Telecommunications

Modernize platforms, operations and network insight.

Cloud-native modernization, service assurance and automation across customer and field operations.

How this sector runs

Where the work starts, and where it is decided

Every sector has a different shape. The node in gold is the decision the whole flow turns on — it is rarely in the same place twice.

The network generates more events than anyone can triage. Value comes from correlating them into the few a customer would actually notice.

Sector pressures

What is making this difficult

These are the constraints we most often find when we start work in this sector.

  • Legacy OSS/BSS

Operational and business support systems that constrain product launch and service change.

  • Service assurance

Detecting degradation before customers report it, across a large and distributed estate.

  • Cost per subscriber

Sustained pressure on operating cost against flat or declining revenue per user.

  • Field operations productivity

Scheduling, dispatch and first-time-fix rates that directly affect both cost and satisfaction.

  • Data volume

Network and usage data at a scale that traditional platforms cannot economically process.

Use cases

Where the work concentrates

  • Customer care modernization

Unified service view across channels with automated resolution of common issues.

  • Field service optimization

Scheduling, dispatch, mobile access and parts management.

  • Service assurance analytics

Proactive detection of degradation from network and usage telemetry.

  • Cloud-native modernization

Decomposing OSS/BSS monoliths to enable independent change.

  • Process automation

Provisioning, billing enquiry and back-office processing.

  • Observability

Correlated monitoring across a distributed service estate.

Questions

Frequently asked

How do you modernize OSS/BSS without disrupting service?
Incrementally, behind an integration layer. New capability is built alongside the existing stack, traffic moves progressively, and the legacy system is decommissioned in stages. Big-bang replacement of operational support systems has a poor track record because the cutover risk concentrates in a single event that cannot easily be reversed.
What makes telecom data challenging to work with?
Volume and velocity. Network telemetry and usage records arrive continuously at a scale where traditional batch warehousing is uneconomic. Streaming architectures with tiered storage — hot data for real-time assurance, cold data for analysis — are usually the workable pattern.
