Digital Strategy & Consulting
Turn transformation ambition into an executable roadmap.
We align business priorities, customer needs, process opportunities, data, architecture and operating models — then sequence initiatives around value, feasibility and risk.
The problems this solves
What usually brings people here
If one of these sounds like your situation, this is the right page.
We have a transformation budget but no agreed sequence.
Competing initiatives, unclear dependencies and no shared view of which investment unlocks the others. Work starts in parallel and collides.
Our technology roadmap is not connected to business outcomes.
Platform decisions are made on technical merit alone, so it becomes impossible to explain to the board what a migration buys the business.
We keep buying tools instead of changing how work happens.
Licenses are procured, adoption stalls, and the underlying process stays the same. The cost lands; the benefit does not.
We do not know whether we are ready for cloud, data or AI.
Ambition is clear but the foundations — data quality, integration, skills, governance — have never been assessed against it.
Capabilities
What we actually do
Transformation vision and value case
Define the target state, quantify the value at stake and build the investment case decision-makers can defend.
Maturity assessment
Establish where capability actually sits across technology, data, process, delivery and operating model.
Enterprise architecture
Design the application, data and integration architecture that the roadmap depends on.
Operating model design
Define the teams, governance, funding model and ways of working that make change stick.
Process optimization
Map the current process, find the friction and redesign around the outcome rather than the org chart.
Technology selection
Structured evaluation against weighted business criteria, total cost and exit cost — not feature counts.
Roadmap and sequencing
Order initiatives by value, feasibility, dependency and risk, with clear decision gates.
Adoption and change
Plan the communication, enablement and measurement that turn a delivered system into a used one.
The sequence
What an advisory engagement actually produces
Strategy work fails when it ends at a document. The two marked stages are the ones that decide whether anything happens: a case that survives scrutiny, and a governance route that keeps reviewing it.
01
Frame
Name the decision that is actually being made, and who makes it.
02
Evidence
What the estate, the data and the people already say.
03
Options
Two or three real routes, with what each one costs and forecloses.
04gate
Case
The one that survives finance, risk and delivery scrutiny.
05
Roadmap
Sequenced by dependency, not by enthusiasm.
06gate
Govern
Who reviews it, how often, and what would change it.
Comes out the other end: A sequenced roadmap somebody owns, with the reasoning still attached to it.
How we approach it
Principles we hold to
Understand the decision
We start with the decision, workflow or experience that needs to improve — not with a technology. That framing determines everything downstream.
Assess honestly
Maturity assessment across capability, architecture, data and delivery. The output is a gap list, not a score.
Sequence around value
Initiatives are ordered by value, feasibility, dependency and risk. Foundational work that unlocks later value is explicitly identified as such.
Make it executable
Every roadmap item carries an owner, a decision gate and a definition of done. A roadmap nobody can start is a document, not a plan.
Outcomes
What you should end up with
- A prioritized blueprint connecting investment decisions to measurable outcomes.
- A sequenced roadmap with explicit dependencies, decision gates and owners.
- An architecture and operating model the delivery teams can actually build against.
- A shared view across business and technology of what changes, when, and why.
Where this usually starts
A short working session on your situation — what you are trying to change, what is in the way, and whether this is the capability that addresses it.
Evidence
What changes, and how you would know
Two different things belong here. One is the structural change this capability makes, which we can describe today. The other is a client outcome, which publishes only when a client has approved it in writing with a timeframe and a baseline.
Client outcomes for Digital Strategy & Consulting
Proof pending approvalA published outcome here will carry the client's written approval, the timeframe it was measured over and the baseline it was measured against. Until all three exist, this section says so rather than showing a figure you could not check.
Questions
Frequently asked
- How long does a digital strategy engagement take?
- A focused maturity assessment and roadmap typically runs six to ten weeks, depending on the number of business units and systems in scope. Enterprise architecture and operating model design usually extend that. Resilience Solutions scopes each engagement against the decision it needs to support rather than a fixed template.
- What is the difference between a transformation roadmap and a technology roadmap?
- A technology roadmap sequences platform and system changes. A transformation roadmap sequences business outcomes and identifies the technology, process, data and capability changes each one requires. The second contains the first. A technology roadmap alone cannot explain what an investment buys the business.
- Do you deliver the roadmap you design?
- Often, but it is not a condition. Roadmaps are written so any competent delivery partner can execute them, and the architecture and decision criteria are documented independently of who builds. Advisory work that only makes sense if the same firm delivers it is not advice.
